UK Exchange: ISEP Exchange Programs

300 universities in more than 50 countries

ALL FALL 2019, SPRING 2020 & ACADEMIC YEAR 2019-20 ISEP EXCHANGE PROGRAM FEES INCLUDE AN AUTOMATIC $5000 REDUCTION

Program Overview

UK is a member of ISEP – International Student Exchange Programs – an organization offering student exchange programs at more than 300 universities in over 50 countries around the world.

As a UK student you have access to this network of universities and the hundreds of areas of study they offer – all for roughly the same cost as a semester at UK plus airfare.

As an ISEP student you will go to school and live like a local alongside students from the host country and from across the world. It’s a very immersive and independent learning experience. You’ll be going to school there like you go to school here, and fulfilling requirements to move you closer to graduation.

With more than 300 universities to choose from it’s not possible to list them all on this page, so here’s how you get started finding the ISEP location that’s right for you.

1. Go to the ISEP website -  https://www.isepstudyabroad.org/ and click on ‘Find A Program.’
After you've confirmed University of Kentucky is your home university you'll be taken to the ISEP search engine where you can search all the ISEP locations
available to you as a UK student.

2. You can search by year, semester, region of the world, a particular country or city, field of study, language of instruction, and many more options (click on ‘More
Filters’ to see all the available search criteria).

3. Click on ‘Apply Filters’ to search for programs which meet your criteria. A list of relevant universities will appear on the left hand side of the page.

4. Click on the university name to go to that institution’s page on the ISEP website.
On this page you’ll find an overview of the university and its location, links to the university’s own website, the semesters when an exchange is offered and, as you
scroll down, the exchange programs available at that university based on your criteria.

5. Select the exchange program you’re interested in and click on the ‘Learn More’ box. This will take you to the page with more information about this particular
program option.Scroll down to ‘Semester and Prices’ to select the semester you’re interested in. Here you’ll find information on housing, meal plan, application
deadline, and the all important ‘Chance of Placement.’ This tells you how competitive the location is.

FINDING COURSES: The 'Learn More' box is is also where you'll find the link to the university's own online course catalog. This is where you go to explore the
university's course offerings and pick out the courses you would like to take while on exchange there.

You can save any programs you’re interested in by creating an account with ISEP. This is like a shopping basket where you save items to review later before making a final decision.

Once you’ve chosen your ideal ISEP location you can start the application process. The first application is to UK Education Abroad & Exchanges. Just click on the ‘Apply Now’ button on this page to get started.

Once you’ve completed the UKEA application, the UK ISEP Coordinator will give you access to the online ISEP application.

We strongly recommend you make an appointment to meet with UK’s ISEP Coordinator, Laurence Tuccori, to discuss your interest in an ISEP exchange and learn more about the ISEP application process.
