Program Description:

UK Exchange: WHU-Otto Beisheim School of Management

Vallendar, Germany

Program Overview

Located in Vallendar on the River Rhine in western Germany, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management is an internationally oriented and privately financed business school..

Founded in 1984, it is one of Germany's top business schools, with the second highest ranked career center in the world. Their career center is available to UK students participating in this exchange.

WHU enrolls 2000 students, around a quarter of whom are international providing many opportunities to live and learn alongside students from across the world. All courses are taught in English and there's no German language requirement.

WHU is AACSB, EQUIS and FIBAA accredited and offers a thorough foundation in all areas of management. Their courses address the different aspects of what future managers can expect to encounter when working in a challenging international environment.

most business majors and minors. Students should have completed most of the Gatton core classes, finished 60 hours or more with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be ready for upper division coursework.

Eligibility
This program is open to undergraduate students from Gatton College of Business & Economics.
Students must possess a valid passport at the time of application to this program.

Academic Credit

Students will earn transfer credit from the Exchange University. For all successfully completed courses, the credit hours, course title and course equivalency will be indicated on the UK transcript. Students must complete the coursework during this program according to the established guidelines by the Exchange University. The grades earned will be important to progression in future academic endeavors, including graduate or professional school; however the grades earned will NOT be indicated on the UK transcript.   • PRIOR to participating on this program, students must complete an Academic Approval Form (AAF). The AAF indicates how the course will be used, or course equivalency, once they are transferred back to UK. Instructions on how to complete the AAF are included in application materials.
  • Upon completion of the term abroad, the transcript should be sent to the UK Education Abroad office. Once received, Education Abroad staff will facilitate the transfer of credits to UK.
  • All students will be enrolled in EAP 599: Study Abroad (1 credit hour) at UK during their term abroad.




 

Housing & Meals

Like many European universities WHU does not own on-campus accommodation. WHU's housing coordinator will work with you to locate and secure suitable off-campus housing. You will submit your housing application at the same time as your exchange application to WHU. Housing prices range from 290 to 600 Euros per month (approx $330 - $670 per month).
Students are also responsible for all meals during the duration of the term abroad.
