Program Description:

UK Exchange: University of Central Lancashire

Preston, Britain

Program Overview

Situated in the heart of the North West of England, the City of Preston is vibrant, cultural and friendly with plenty of activities and events to keep you entertained. 30,000 students live in Preston, making the city a lively, diverse and contemporary place to study.

Preston is a short distance from the coastline, the Lake District, and the larger cities of Manchester and Liverpool, both of which have international airports; Preston is also one of the most networked cities in the country. The railway station is just a 10-minute walk away from campus.

The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) was ranked in the top 4% by the Centre for World University Rankings 2016. UCLan was the UK’s first modern university to get into the QS World rankings, and they were awarded the maximum 5 stars for the quality of their teaching.

UCLan's award-winning Students’ Union will make sure your experience is unforgettable – such as the de-stressing Puppy Rooms during exam season! – while their Library offers 24/7 access to high quality learning resources and flexible study spaces during term time.

All exchange students enjoy free membership of the on-campus Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre, while the outdoor sports arena was a training venue for the 2012 Olympics.
